Purefreedom Reelmaster

So I’m in the process of buying equipment to kit out my van. Sold my current van as a complete window cleaning van with all equipment included so starting from scratch. My last electric reel was the 3D PowerUp. Is the Reelmaster worth the extra money? Also would the swivel base have any benefits? Seems a bit pricey at over £200

My reelmaster is over 7 years old now,ive never even had to replace a fuse. Its worked smoothly day in/day out all these years...never oiled the chain or replaced the switch.

I don't use the swivel. Mine was around £650 back in 2018. I think they are closer to a grand now.

Personally I think they are well worth the money. I bet i get at least another 7 years out of mine!
price higher/work harder!

Had mine a year and love it, don't have a swivel, and don't feel I need one.

Can see the advantages of the swivel if you have a tail lift, but probably no benefit if you have barn doors?

Aye stainless steel is about £1200 now, just shy of £1000 for powder coated steel.

Yeah, I've got barn doors, but havnt had any problems. Don't be tempted to go for the new cheaper version without snag built in, terrible idea, you'll end up breaking customers garden ornaments or damaging something.

Bought one of the SS electric reel with 6mm hotwater hose. You get 10% off with your first order. I now have 2 Grippa reels and one PF reel as one of my Grippa electric reels has stopped working. Will work out what is wrong with it during the break when I have some spare time. Thanks for recommending this reel.

You only need one reel if you work on your own. Why have you got 3?

I have a 2 man system and one reel has stopped working so when the PF one arrives I will swap it over. Then I will have the Grippa one as a spare. Want to spend money on the last of the equipment I may need in the future. My mortgage will come to an and in March so everything is working out as I thought it would.
I have 4 areas that I am constantly picking up new work without trying. One area, the old guy has walked away and concentrated on painting houses. The other area the guy has became ill and won't be coming back so the customers are telling me. The new estate, I'm well in with the sales women and pop in every week. The last one is a complex where I have half and so does an old guy who has now told them he won't be coming back again so every month someone moves over to me.

Sometimes in life, serendipity appears and our business grows exponentially without trying. I don't want to be left wanting for anything, so I'm stocking up on spares. It means if a pump or a reel goes down then I don't need to hang about waiting and can change immediately learnt that from the Fire Brigade.

My mechanic mate has a big garage with plenty of wasted space. He has one ramp and I got talking to him 6 months ago. I told him, if I owned the garage then I would have a clearout and put another two ramps in along the back wall. Because he spends most of his time waiting on parts arriving when he could be working on another vehicle. Last weekend we were all down helping him clear the place because that's what he is now doing.

So if you have a full book and don't want to be waiting for parts then stock up and you won't need to because reliability seems to be what most customers are looking for. fwiw

1200 quid for a reel is ridiculous, they were expensive enough at £450 quid when they first came out.......

I wouldnt pay that, if mine packs in i think i would go back to making my own, i wouldnt mind but its only a motor and chain slapped on a reel.

When the money is coming in then I want to keep it coming in and avoid breakdowns. It makes my work alot easier and I would have to pay tax on £1200 if I keep it. If it lasts for a decade then its money well spent. Will give an update, it arrives today.
