No, because i bought 10 filters for £60 on Ebay. All I needed to do was cut the plastic bottom to make it fit.

Guess it improves power/suction if filter removed? This is what Skyvac have to say about it:

Can I use my skyVac without the filter?

Most of the time we would advise against removing the filter as it is there to protect your motor against damaging particles. However, you are able to remove the filter if you are dealing with wet and sludgy debris.

Please note your filter must be replaced to avoid dust damage to motors as dust damage will not be covered in your warranty.

Thanks.

In a sky-vac there is also that plate that comes down from the motor, intended to protect the motor I guess from the sludge that fires in to the vac. If that’s positioned correctly (in the line of fire) I’m sure that helps too.

Dusty crud is easy anyway as it’s so light. It’s the wet mossy crap u want more power on.

Yes the deflector helps if you line it up correctly and is a better design on my newer skyvac models, I think it's the tinder dry dust you have to worry about if using without a filter, personally I always keep filter in and clean it off after every use.
