Migrating from Textlocal to Webex
« on: October 24, 2025, 10:28:18 am »
I have been using cleaner planner/ text local for years now and just recently had to migrate over to Webex for text messaging. But now i cant receive text messaging replies from customers that i have sent through Webex unless i buy a mobile number from them at £15 per month. Just wondering how every one else are dealing with this and is there any way around it?

Just use your mobile phone and a send mass text out.

I cant see the point of using a third party company.

Because you can schedule them.

You can do that with a text message too.

How?

If using Android like me, instead of sending the mass text straight away, you can long press the send button to schedule the text messages.    ( Just make sure you've changed the messaging apps settings to instruct how group texts are handled.  You don't want a public group setting up, but the mass text option where everyone gets an individual messages and replies are in separate conversations.).

Also groups can now be set up and named/amended for future mass text messages.

Depends on your OS version

iOS 18 and newer:
Open the Messages app and start a conversation.
Tap the + button and then select Send Later.
Choose your desired date and time, type your message, and send.

iOS 13–17:
Open the Shortcuts app.
Go to the "Automation" tab and tap New Automation.
Select "Time of Day" and set your desired date and time.
Tap Send Message and compose your message, then finish the automation

Yeh I can see now thanks. I'm on ios 26.0.1

Looks like it has to be a new conversation as that 'send later' option isn't there on an existing conversation.

I may look into more. I just find it easy on pc.

Thanks

***Update..the 'send later' option is available on some of my existing conversations but not others.

That's given me an idea.   You can also mirror your phone on a PC too.
