Sorry to be thick but what do you mean by a water stop? As for drilling a Wyedale I have done it many times. What would be the issue here? I have used an adjustable one for immersion holes and hole saws for smaller pipes.

It's a game of three halves!

It’s not for me. Personally I have a small hole for my 12v float valve in the top (not side) of my ibc tank.

Appreciate you sharing though. Thanks.

I need to do something about my setup. At the moment I put my van on fill and just set a timer on my phone and go and check it. I have an overflow pipe fitted in case I miss it ( which is often ) so I end up wasting a fair amount of water.
How do people set up float valves etc if the RO system is separate from the tank?
I basically pull my van onto the drive and run a hose from a shed where the ro system is to the van.
I have had a look at float and solenoid set ups from pure freedom etc but honestly they look super complicated and I just can't bothered peeing around with it.
What I would prefer is some kind of alert system that I can fit to the tank lid that will will send me a notification when the tank is full but can't find anything. Anyone know of anything like this?
