Is it just me or is this section of the forum getting quieter lately ?

and before you ask why I'm not posting on here it's due to being retired  I have no more incidents or problems that need solving

There seems to be a real stagnation in wfp development IMO. We're stuck with the same old brushes, poles etc. There used to be real excitement and lots of discussions about all the latest stuff but here we are, same old same old. 🤔

The ever increasing amount of mostly completely irrelevant ads on here is making me want to come on less and less.

Why not have a section on here for window cleaners that have retired recently. For me personally I'm of retirement age last year but still working part time. Just a thought.

Really old fashioned platform lots of people are on external cleaning Facebook groups now, obviously the younger window cleaners starting up are going straight to other platforms, I belonged to a fishing association forum with similar sections to C-I-U , ten years ago it was the biggest forum of it's kind on the net, last two years it's rapidly declined to only a few visits a day, I believe it's being taken down by the end of this year. Nothing lasts forever including clean it up.

Not sure what's going on up here but I could work 7 days a week. Hard to get anyone to do manual labour work. On new estate yesterday and another 8 homes have new residents so I posted a card if they want a quote. Guy came out right away and told me he had been looking for weeks for a window cleaner. So did it there and then and now have 2 on the new estate being built. Must be picking up a new customer every week now so don't have the time I used to, too come on here. Just been volunteered to paint all the hand rails at my bit because no one wants to do it.

I watched an episode of Minder where Arthur retires. He ended up being bored senseless and just got in the way. Don't think I could every retire after working all my life. After 6 years window cleaning I think its the best job I have ever had, okay its boring but financially nothing comes close as long as one has the equipment. 😉

Yeah, i never expected people to just generally chit chat about the job on here. I always thought it would be peer reviewed studies, leaflet drop data and hard facts. But as its not... don't let the door catch your arse on the way out.

Its always quiet on here, its an old format. Forums were a thing 20 years ago, not so much now.
