Yes...mines been like that for a few months now. I never even take my card reader to work anymore.

I hold the customers card to the back of my phone and it works great. Never been able to get it to work with a customers smartphone though(eg ApplePay/GooglePay)

Actually that's a good point regarding phone to phone contact.  Need to test it out.
