scaffold tower - one man solo
« on: June 25, 2025, 07:48:10 pm »
Hi Guys, im looking to buy a scaffold tower rather than keep hiring. They often turn up bashed around and feel its time i just bought my own.
Ive been looking at a Mi Tower and a similar one from Lewis towers (they make them themselves) both are designed to be easy to put up on your own, if you need to.
Has anyone dealt with Lewis Towers (based in London area) they seem a decent company, has anyone bought from them, they do all sorts of scaffold towers plus a lot more.
Ive been looking at various places for the Mi Tower, they are very expensive - £2750 for a 4.2m "platform height", (which is around 6.2 m working height) is the best price ive seen.
I looked at Spinaclean - who ive used before, they have fantastic after sales service, but there tower was priced around £3500 (im sure it was just a Mi Tower, same as the one above, so way out on price.
Any suggestions appreciated, as i could do with getting one ordered.
Thanks in advance

Never fear Mickey boy is here for all one's scaffold needs.

I recommend the ( Boss Clima 850 / 1.8m ) tower because it ticks all the boxes.

I bought the 2.5m one originally and had to add the 1.8m parts because it was a tad heavy. The
1.8m one is fantastic and holds its price because most people want it second hand.

This is the company I use and they are great. You will need to go on a Pasma course (£200) I went with HSS which are very good. All the best.
