Hose reel playing up
« on: April 06, 2025, 12:29:35 pm »
Had problems with one of my hosereels yesterday and ran with the other one. Was going to do 3 cleans today but decided to strip down the reel to see what the problem was. Found out the inside nut had came loose and doesn't look like any tread lock on it. Anyhow, 2 hours later all sorted and used tread lock incase it works its way loose again. Handy tip for anyone undertaking their own repairs.

What is tread lock? What hose reels have you got? I don't have an electric hose reel, so it doesn't help me, but it may help someone who has the same one you have.

I believe they are Grippa reels!
I think he means Thread Lock - used to hold threads securely to stop them vibrating loose.
