Just completed my 6 monthly service. Changed my sediment/carbon filter and fitted the new one after a 10 minute flush. My TDS is around 70 from the tap and it came through my membranes at 003 so I'm well chuffed and could probably run without changing my resin but never do. Trying to get my service in the future for March/September time and my MOT in late summer rather than 9th of February. So much easier doing maintenance when the weather is good rather than in the winter time.

Or did you change your RO membrane?
Changing prefilters doesn't change your r/o output. All the prefilters are for is to protect the membrane from sediment and chlorine.

Had a pair of Spectrum membranes that lasted 4 years but didn't know much about this game and also done in a pair of batteries. In the end, we learn the hard way and gives us experience to do things correctly in the future. Forum was great when I started up many years ago and now I have everything inplace bar my new van especially if van fails MOT tomorrow.
Why would you prefer RO to double DI?My TDS was around 70 then in August 2022 it shot up to 230 so had to buy RO system...not cheap. In October of the same year it dropped back down to 70/80 where it's been ever since.Much preferred double DI.....used to have to change resin about once a month.....around 4 bags a year and so much quicker and no waste.Plus if needed I could stick it in van.
Yes water meters kill it here.......how much are water rates nowadays for those that still have no meter?
I dont even use pre filters think they are a waste of money.I change my membranes roughly once every 2 years at a cost of around £100Ive seen my tap tds anywhere between 100 and 300 it seems to fluctaute.
