I've been using this 25ft  pole as my main pole for 12 months now and I'm very impressed with it.still loads of life left in it.i reckon I'll easily get another year out of it.

I've flushed it out with water half a dozen times (without taking the pole apart just extending the sections)and it's just started to wear (on the top inch slightly) on the top section.

Things I like....

1.its stronger and more rigid than an xtreme pole.
2.no problem with having to change the stop tape like on an xtreme which I find VERY annoying.
3.i like the clamps and easy to replace with no glue!
4.cheaper than an equivalent  xtreme pole(got mine in the black fri sale)

If this was an xtreme pole the top 3 sections would be shot to pieces now and ready for the bin!I tend to abuse my poles with only the odd spray of PTFE lubricant every now and then.

Thing I don't like....

1.the end cap will need replacing soon as it's worn away.
2.i have to wrap a bit of tape around my carbon gooseneck for it to grip tightly in the top section.

I'd buy another one without a shadow of a doubt.best day to day high mod pole on the market I reckon👍

I've had my nano 18 a year and the wear on it is minimal I would say it wears just as good as an slx if not better.

I didn't like the clamps at first but once I got used to them they are fine and like you say they just don't spin.

It's not as light as the extreme that's the only negative but the slight weight penalty is worth it.

I bought an extreme 25 around March 2021 that's now already in the bin all 3 top sections have snapped and the clamps look like a dog has chewed them.

I'll be buying a nano 25 on black Friday if they are in the sale.

It's only a fraction heavier than an xtreme but much more durable.its still much lighter than an SLX...

IMO the xtreme in its current form should be discontinued and be replaced with a slightly heavier,stronger pole but I don't think it will happen.its just too fragile for using as a main day to
day pole IMO.

It’s like the Ova Hi-Mod lovely quality pole but personally I can feel the difference for sure over an Extreme,it’s only me that uses the Extremes if you let hired help use them everyday it would cost you a fortune in snapped sections.

After I snapped a few sections within a year of purchase on quite a few xtreme poles I changed my mind.they are not robust enough for the price they cost.

The nano is so much better

Imo they are a great pole if the person using them is paying for them or they won’t last,I think the idea of them is if you suffer with RSI you don’t have to deal with the weight of the pole as well as trying to manoeuvre it all day.
There’s a massive difference in weight over other Hi-Mod poles you can’t beat the Extreme on balance whilst in use imo.

I agree if money is no object and you don't mind buying  a new one every year they are the best hi mod pole on the market. They are lighter and the gardiner clamps are better to use than any others I've tried.

But when you factor in the longevity of the nano which imo will last twice as long if not more then to me that puts it ahead of the extreme, although if we are being honest it's more of a middle ground between a hi mod and a carbon pole.

There is a noticeable difference though albeit not a great one..when I unboxed mine and picked it up I could tell straight away it wasn't as light as an extreme. That's not to say its a problem but I could tell it was a thicker walled more robust pole before I had used it.

Mine was around £500 including VAT in the black Friday sale last year.i have lots of awkward windows on parts of my round.the nano is miles ahead of an SLX in terms of weight and rigidity for  reaching  horizontal awkward windows over large extensions/conservatories

The nano is in between these 2 poles which for me anyway is the perfect compromise in strength,rigidity and weight for my main day to day pole.👍

 I use a 30 foot slx @ £420 as my every day pole .  the equivalent Nano looks to be £ 655  and only 300 g less . Is the difference in price worth it

Thanks Daz, that's really helpful.
I've just renewed the top 3 sections on my Extreme, they all snapped at some point and I've cut a few inches here and there etc and re-fixed (bodged up).  Hence I renewed all 3 sections in one go.
I think the Extreme pole is good but when you go side to side across the top of a window, you can feel it's on the edge of stability and you hear the odd little crack noise; especially if you work fairly quickly.
I'm cutting out all my awkward jobs now, so my round is fairly easy; I could go for something slightly heavier, but more durable.
I think I might try yours as my next pole.

No way is the SLX (less than 25ft) too bendy or too heavy.

I got 20 months from my nano  (18ft) before i snapped the 1st section, it snapped because i left it leaning against something with about 1ft of the 1st section extended, and it fell and snapped, totally my fault. Incredibly i then did the same thing on my new pole after just 10 days  . Again my fault but as good a pole as it is, it does need treating with far more respect than an slx or clx. Ive bought 2 new end sections and gone back to using my 1st one but it now has my full attention all of the time. Its a great pole but not idiot proof. Btw, it still has its original clamps on despite my reservations about them when i first got it. I wouldn't even think of buying an extreme now ive had one.
