Does anyone know if there is a legal "window" to deliver leaflets?, we post in a morning at 6:00am before we start our jobs, we have had 1 or 2 complaints about making dogs bark and waking people up etc, i wondered if we are acctually breaking any laws?

not sure about leaflet drops but i do know in my other job i am not allowed to make a noise before 7 in the morning and not at all on a sunday. i remember years ago i was doing some sanding down on an external job at 10 minutes to 7 and the next door windows flew open and i was told to stop the noise it turned out the woman who was telling me to be quet was a police inspector who investigated other police. i ended up working for her. out of interest when i finished the job she paid me in cash and i never count the money in front of a client as i find it vulgar. but when i did i found it to be £50 extra so i made sure i went back to give her back the over payment [ partly because its right to do so and partly because of who she was ] but was told it was not an oversight but a tip, so my annoying noise for someone tuned out to be good for me on that occassion.

Dont think you are breaking law, Milkmen deliver at this time.
But you do risk upsetting potential customers.
Its a lot cooler at 6am

You must be pi$$ing of a lot of potential customers
come on, thats way to early.
i wouldnt deliver outside of 8am to 8pm myself, allthough i have been skint at times and wanted to, it really is gonna be unaceptable to most people.
Wouldnt wanna be switching my machine on out of these hours either not in a residential area.

i can tell you in residential areas construction sites do have to come to an agreement with local authorities the acceptable start time is normally 8.00am
so the noise dont wake nieghbours up. i reckon thats about the right time you should start.
