Would you clean with 016 tds water?
« on: January 06, 2022, 10:32:35 pm »
Tank reading 009 yesterday and 016 today after fill up.. ;D

I'll change my resin this weekend when I pick up my 2 new DI vessels from girlfriends tomorrow...

A 25L sack of resin has lasted me over 6 months now(tap tds 020)...

The highest tds I've ever worked with was  036 many years ago now...no problem....it makes me wonder whether I could get away without using resin at all due to my very low tap tds!
price higher/work harder!

It would depend on what work I was cleaning tbh but generally:

I’m the middle of summer, with a sunny forecast, no chance.

Tomorrow, with a terrible forecast for the next few days, yes probably.

No way it’s not worth the risk , we charge a top price for a top quality job using  016 isn’t likely to give you that , we have never used higher than 003 .

I'll just splash and dash as normal then! ;D

I've only got 3 hours work penciled in tomorrow with sleet/rain showers forecast then weekend off (and a terrible wet day on sat!)

yes 016 is fine to use - however this is the top end - its a little less forgiving on dirtier cleans - ie rinse more

nothing wrong with the water - just your technique  ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D
get yourself some hot ( I mean a real mans hot through a diesel heater ) nd you can clean with 100 TDS and get perfect results - I know I spoke to a guy that does it all the time  ;D

Persoanlly i stick to 0

no such things as a safe tds, it depends. Which im sure you know daz.....

In overcast weather i would be much more confident in using a higher tds, on sunny days ive had issues with spotting at 3/4 tds

I was talking to a bloke down the pub the other day and he just happened to be a rocket scientist. He reckoned it will be crap at 016 but fine at 015. Difference between night and day and he drives an Audi. Lol

I usually change my resin at 005 but I've had 2 new vessels delivered this week at missus house and my tds has jumped up to 016 in 2 days...the weather has been atrocious at times the last few days so I think I've got away with it...

Back to 000 for Monday! ;D

I'll guarantee that spotting at 3 or 4 tds is nothing to do with your water quality, most likely not rinsing enough on a hot sunny day...

I filled my new 25L resin vessel this morning and filled up my tank and its  reading 005 now(due to 016 tds water still left in my tank from fri).that will be fine to use.by tuesday it will be 000 again.
