« on: June 30, 2021, 03:23:14 pm »
Hi folks
Don't know what i'm going to do come next year when the clean air charges come into effect? (Greater Manchester)  to replace my van would be very costly! as i've got a truckmount think its about £2000 to have it switched over to another vehicle. Anyone els got the same problem?

Hi, had my T/M changed to a new vehicle last year and it cost well under £800. The  charge is going to be in every Ciyy over the next few years, so choice will be either, pack in, increase prices to cover charge, absorb it and make less, add it as a surcharge that customer knows its not of your making, or go electric. Novelty solution would be a horse and cart, might be an amazing marketing ploy!

Another poverty making tax from our wonderful leaders. Just makes things more expensive for everyone.
