Dear Paul,
he was afraid that he damaged the carpet ( in fact he did not). But as he started not that long ago and didn't sort out the insurance to cover such situation it did put us in a bit of stress last night.
We need to organise an insurance cover for domestic and commercial carpet cleaning.
Just wanted to look for advice on some insurance company which does it for decent rates and decent service if something goes wrong.

Try HSBC ...they do a
public liability/employers liability/legal expenses/treatment risk policy
, with an excess of £250.
If you tell them youve been in business for 2 years, the premium is cheaper.
Premium is
£246
....and they are in bournemouth:
Tel : 01202 455 545
Note: some companies charge in excess of £800 a year premiums!! I know which one I'd choose.

I use Mcgregor Lloyd in Birmingham. Not got there number to hand but you can get it from the directory or online. They do Liability insurance and high risk cover for carpet cleaners.I have used them for a few years an are very helpfull.
In early days carpet and upholstery cleaning can be a bit worrying,as long as he follows his training guides and does the relevent tests and checks before proceeding with the clean he should be ok and the worry will soon melt away over the coming months. On the other hand he could try spending a couple of days with a seasoned pro to learn the pit falls.
If he wants to come down to North wales for a couple of days training he's more than welcome.

its worth noting should you need to make a claim insurance companies will want poof of competence, ie. training etc.

Dear Paul
North Wales you said?!
Lovely idea, thank you for your generous offer. Will talk to my better half.
I think he should go as long as he is taking kids - hope you like bunch of “angels ... to be” as a company.
