Dont let your Reelmaster freeze
« on: February 15, 2021, 08:17:49 pm »
Last week i drained my pump and  pipe connecting hose reel.
We have a 2 reel set uo brother left his undrained .
We put a 3 kw fan heater in van on a 15 mins every hour.
Today after a week not working his swivel was leaking so we went home to fix .
A graphite part in the swivel had cracked by being frozen .
Called Pure Freedom none left in stock and waiting for them to arrive from china.
Had to buy new swivel £ 100.80 with Vat and  delivery.
Spit and polish

Mine froze. A bit but I got a way.  With it.
Was it easy to fit. Or did you have  to take it of the frame.

I don't really comment unless....  but I can't believe anyone would pay £100 for  swivel for a reel.
Gold plated?

I had to replace the swivel on my Hannay reel 2 years ago- £70. It was 13 years old though and is the only part I have had to replace on the reel so far. (It was not frost damaged as I always drain the pump/reel).
