Builders clean brickwork

Hi everyone.

Can anyone give me any methods for cleaning brickwork on a new build? Has the usual remnants of mortar.

Which acid do I need to use and what ratios? Also how do you get the acid onto the wall (It is a small block of flats)

Any help or guidance appreciated.
