1st paying customer today for gutter clear
Using sky vac Atom.

Couldn’t get camera to  work 😤

It’s the non recordable camera
It has a simple on off twist switch

There is no channel 4 setting on this model camera
Just on and off at 2 and 4 o’clock positions.

The only thing I can think of is camera and monitor aren’t charged enough 🤔

I first got equipment a month ago and did parents gutters for free😁

Camera setup all good 👍

Charged both camera and monitor Thursday and gave bit more charge yesterday too

No good just fuzz on monitor

Anyone got any ideas

I don't know the atom camera but sounds like the camera is transmitting on a frequency that the monitor isn't set to. Is there a channel selection on the monitor? If you have a snowy screen on the monitor it suggests it has power. Does the camera have an red light to show it's on?
I would suggest playing with the camera and monitor indoors to understand how to work it before next job.

Think they sell camera kit £300 😮

Bought a go pro copycat camera £30
That works fine.
GVS sell same or very similar go pro copy £129

Only reason I don’t like to use go pro one is using my new iPhone Se as a monitor

Personally I would use a gopro style camera and then just buy a used cheap android phone. It would probably cost you half the price of a dedicated camera and you can get extra batteries and 12v charger to charge in van. If you get an android phone with an sd card slot (you could record to internal memory) you can record to show customer the finished job or if it's really bad you can show them the beginning  .

There is nothing much special about the 'gutter vac cameras' that are sold. They just come with the bits you need to connect to poles but they are easy and cheap on ebay.  It's not like we need megga distances between the camera an monitor or anything gets in the way. So any old rf will work as will wifi no problems. Not that you need it but I bet your gopro style camera does much better resolution images  and I guess the app will allow you to take still photos on a phone or video footage recording.

You don't need a sim card. Just turn on camera and then go to wifi on phone and you should be able to connect to the camera wifi network. Then open the app for the camera and you should have live video footage, it with have a slight lag maybee 0.5ec between what the camera sees and it being on screen but you should be fine for gutter cleaning.
You might have to search Google play to find an app that works with your go pro style camera unless you have instructions that tell you which app to use. So any old phone should be fine an no need for a sim card at all.

How do you control the vac poles and hold a smart phone? I need two hands to hold the poles and we have a monitor clamp for the bottom pole section.

You probably accidentally left in on in the bag and the battery went dead. We stopped using them very quickly as the slightest bit of sun and you can't see anything. Big tip leave it in bag or sell and just concentrate on sucking out muck and getting on to next job.

No need to hold the smart phone just buy a bracket to attach to the pole. Look on ebay for bike mobile phone holders. Then make sure you can adapt the bit that would go round handle bars to go round your pole.

Last Friday Spinaclean replaced camera
Sent DPD courier 👍

Needed camera, 2nd gutter job last Saturday.
One section was quite full up 😁

Good fun too, carried Atom, poles onto flat roof
30 mile an hour winds last Saturday

Won’t make a habit of that 🤦‍♂️

Just go to GVS website they do a  camera set up for £124.00
Saves all the faffing around.
