Veg oil on granite
« on: July 29, 2020, 06:22:24 pm »
Hi All
Has anyone got experience of veg oil on granite? How to remove or lessen the stain?
Got a customer who left their food waste bag on a step and oil leaked out. Left a dark stain about the size of your hand on a light grey, granite step.
Any suggestions v welcome.

Hmmm!  Light Granites are a bit of a pain but doable.  Firstly deep clean it using SRP  Xtreme Heavy Duty Tile & Grout Cleaner and HOT water.  Then you will need to apply a poultice powder mixed with a solvent to draw the stain out.  This may require a few applications.  Then finally seal it so it doesn’t happen again ;D
