I have an an Extrata cx machine after about an hour of use the pump cuts out, then starts again after 10mins then keeps cutting out every 10 min to 20min, any ideas ?

Its either an electrical fault. Check all pump wires and connections.
or
An air blockage.Usually pumps up to 135 psi will self prime so it should free its self from air once in use.
If it is not a self priming pump then you will need to prime it yourself.
Put an open end on to your soution line, fill your tank and let the pump run free for a bout 3 minutes this should clear it.
Air pockets usually form if you let your tank run too low whilst wanding.Always ensure your water tank have enough water in and the problem wont reoccur.

Sounds to me like the motor is overheating and tripping the pump's thermal cutout, so you stop, it cools down, you start again, it overheats and cuts out again.

Mine did something similar, It turned out to be because I was pumping very hot water through it and caused it to overheat. Manufacturer told me not to heat water in tank any higher than 40 degrees C.

Er,  I don't think thats correct somehow, I clean at 65 degrees c

Sorry I should have said that I have a differant machine although the pump may well be the same.

40 degrees in the tank and use the inline heater as well to get cooking, that way the pump will only ever see water at 40 degrees.
