Using a clx for a full time experienced window cleaner is a bit like using argos spanners as a mechanic. They are fine starting out or part time use but false economy.

Unless you are cleaning really high stuff all you need in the van is 22-25-35ft poles, the choice is yours with the smaller poles either 22-25 but I prefer the 22 most of the time.
The 22 reaches nearly all modern stuff including the odd roof Velux windows,it’ll clean all modern 3rd floor stuff it’s just that every now and again the 25 will reach from the hip rather than the shoulder when in use.

I use an ionic 35ft Glyder plus

It’s more than adequate for almost all residential, including most skylights, while being stiff and light too. I find they last about 18 months - 2 years as long as you spray the sections with lacquer every 3-4 months or so.

I have an additional section that I keep in the van to add an extra 5ft on the 2 jobs that I need it.

your making your job much harder than it needs to be using a 35ft pole as an everyday pole! ::)roll ;D

its up to you but rather you than me......... ;D
price higher/work harder!

Yeah I thought that a 35ft pole I have an extreme 35ft I wouldn’t want to use it for everything,if you use light poles you get used to them the same with brushes any slight increase you’ll notice it no matter how little.
The pole has to be the most important thing getting the lightest and stiffest is a no brainier for me,paired with the electric reel it’s a game changer.

nope. we've been using CLXs and SLXs for about 8 years now and we all love the CLX. they last fine. the CLX 22 is a great pole. the longer versions we find too bendy and the SLX comes into its own.

a CLX will last us about a year give or take, depending on who's using it

Exactly. An SLX even with staff will last at least 2 years. More likely 3-4.

This question is to the guys that are using 22ft poles every day.....

Dont you have days where you need an extra few foot for skylights,3 storey, the odd awkward window?I'd hate to have to go back to the van for a slightly longer pole just for the odd window here and there.....

We use SLX-25’s for everyday work.

They’re not badly priced and they last for ages!

Go to the van once in a blue
Moon 🌑 for a bigger pole or buy a slightly bigger one and have to carry 2 extra sections about with you for basically nothing,no brainer it surprises me what I can reach with the 22.
