Hi Guys,
I'd like to learn how to do this kind of work.
I would like to learn it with the use of a simple brush.



I just bought this Jacquard acid dye.



I am aware that this dye must be diluted with acetic acid and water at a high temperature. Could you advise me on the dilution ratio?

This is not something that can be learned quickly. Even after doing training it takes months of practice to become proficient. Chris Howel is doing a course in the new year. Not cheap but well worth the money. We stock his dyes and striking agent.

There’s more of a science to it compared to dyeing leather (pigmented is more re painting)  ie to have a blue stain on a purple carpet then you add the correct percentage of red dye that said if you do nothing you’ll learn nothing you do have to prepare the fibre to accept the dye.
