As building sites have a limited existence you will struggle to find the phone number of the site office. So what I would suggest is

1. Pop in to any site you pass on your travels and ask for the site manager and give him your card and ask him who is the contact at the office

2. Get out your phone books YP/TL & BT and lookup all the Builders & call them

3. Get an enhanced listing on yell.com & make sure Builders Clean is mentioned in one of your 6 bullet polints. This will get calls from builders from outside your area but working in your area - they don't have access to the local YP so they use the online equivalent. Has worked well for us

4. Make sure you have all your h&s stuff up to date and available
You might also want to check your contract of employment to see what it says about setting up in competition with your current employer. You might want to have a chat with your solicitor.

its when you take a course in health and safety and they give you a number to sign in on building sites

oh deary me!!!!!

very unlikely that you'l get work by knocking on the site managers door, thats why builders ahve purchasing depts, and qs's.

they will want all your paperwork first, then put you on the tender list, and then you can start to be taken seriously in geting build clean work.

sorry to bring bad news like that.

regards
