Ok, it’s a stress free job, but here are my top 3 most annoying noises whilst window cleaning:

1. Slamming back gates in the wind.

2. Dogs barking.

3. The sound of grit inside the pole.

Yep, even worse when it's a cold sales call and you've stopped what you're doing to answer it. Even though I was wearing Bluetooth headphones, one of those modded completely spoilt pop master this morning for me.

The sound of a wet fart - especially if you are on site, whilst walking into the reception area to hand a invoice into the beautiful bird thats on the desk.

I remember the first time I heard one of those, I was out cleaning with my dad, I said to him: "what the modded is that noise?" "Can't hear anything" he said. "What do you mean you can't hear anything!?! It's really modded loud!"

Something like ten years later, I've not heard any for a while, I figure they either didn't work (they never seemed to, the houses that had them still got bird modded on their windows) and were abandoned or the squeal drove the neighbours bonkers and they were shut off. Anyway I'm out cleaning with a new start, he says to me "what the modded is that noise?"

Think those green ones in the ground are cat deterrents, they never actually work though!

One of the other sounds I hate is personal to transit custom owners - when you leave any door slightly open and it BEEPS at you with a really loud BEEP when you lock it.

It such a flipping annoying feature, could be a more ‘pleasant’ tone, rather than a massive loud horn!

Those deterant things use a frequency that is hard for humans to hear , if young you will hear them but older people don’t so easily , it’s much the same as the noises bats make , I hear them and my Mrs says I’m takin the P.

I can assure you  that the cat ones do work , I did my whole garden with chipping and decking and it turned my garden into a giant litter tray , every cat in the area was shatting  in it  !
I got the machine and it stopped instantly , could have been the BB gun that I got at the same time though.
