I need a mains smoothing capacitor for my old Extracta machine. Has anyone any idea where I might get one from? Thanks in anticipation  :)

Brian at Hilite Services will be able to help. He used to be part of Extracta.

Don't think it's a start capacitor , it's just to stop old CRT tvs going fuzzy when u plugged in your machine .
Like extracta , thing of the past ...I would bypass it .

think il correct myself on this one ...  i was thinking of an RF magnetic core for the filtering ...    the smoothing capacitor ... i dont know what its for , it might be placed in conjunction with the switch relays .   Any way if there is writing on it google will provide a source .
