what do you mean by 8 hours, it should run forever as long as it's got fuel
it should be charging while running check the batterry with a multi meter while running should be over 13 volts

lavinia on the side of the engine there is a charger pack, Check to make sure all the wires are connected also make sure you have a good earth to the battery?
What can happen to these charger pack is if the earth lead to the battery works loose it can blow the charger pack. If this happens your looking a bill for around £120 for a new pack.

Craig, dont forget there offering a free upgrade at peters event there on the 19th august, so if you pay for a 15 they give you a 18 and if you pay for the 18 you get the next model up ect.

Before spending out loads of money, check the red wire that goes to the back of the ignition switch! This is what supplies the charging circuit and if it is broken or vibrated loose from the ignition barrel it will subsequently stop the charging!
Follow the red wire back from the ignition switch to the regulator and check the wire with a tester.
