Truckmount and defoamer
« on: April 04, 2019, 12:36:51 pm »
How do you apply de-foamer when using a truck mount ? Apply to carpet(powder) ?  Can foaming cause as much damage when using a truck mount as it can when using a portable machine?

Thanks

Same way as you would with a portable, suck it up with the hose. That way it also coats the inside of the hose. The powdered stuff should be dissolved first then sucked up.

Foam won't stop a TM as often as it'll stop a porty.

Foaming is practically unheard of with a tm unless you’re using high foam products, which begs the question, why?

I've had a truckmount stop sucking due to the hoses being full solid with foam. Turned out a full bottle of washing up liquid had leaked into the base of the carpet. No mention by customer and not visible on surface.
