candle wax....
« on: March 27, 2019, 07:42:41 pm »
Hi, customer drops candle wax on 80/20 cream twist. After iron and brown paper, majority of wax and all of red colouring from wax removed. However still a slight but obvious line still visable. Repeat process and then treat with solvent gel and then liquid solvent and hot extract.... still a line is visable, although to touch no wax appears to be in carpet? Any suggestions apart from a stanly knife!. Simon

It sounds as if you'e done really well so far, Edward. Perhaps you now need to treat it as a dye transfer job with whatever method you'd normally use.  As it's a light coloured carpet, I would use, as a last resort, a cotton bud and dab some peroxide on the remaining red(ish) parts. keep the peroxide to a minimum and try to ony treat the red bits. Good luck.
