Willenhall Vacancy
« on: June 28, 2006, 03:19:51 pm »
At present we clean all of this clients offices nationwide, however we are having real problems filling this vacancy at Willenhall, just outside of Wolverhampton.
The work is really very easy and comprises of polishing, vacuuming, glass cleaning, cleaning of toilets and kitchen and floor scrubbing.
The work has to be done after 5.30pm Monday to Friday inc. Mon to Thur the work will take 1.5 hours per day, On a Friday a floor scrub needs to be carried out on three toilets and one kitchen in addition to the normal cleaning which in total means 2.5 hours work on a Friday, this means an 8.5 hour working week, all machinery, chemicals etc will be supplied, as will full training. Total pay will be £68 per week, please e-mail me for further details at RobertParry@cmccs.co.uk
A world of difference....

£8.00 an hour your looking for a cleaner not a business person! Probably no chance you will find someone here.

I think also that you would probably be better off trying the job centre as its more the case of contractors rather than cleaners that tend to come on this forum, anyway good luck robert  ;)

Hi

Just down the road from Chris and I.  I would'nt do this work for £8.00, I agree with Chris, best place is the job centre.

Thanks for the response guys, tried the job centre already, local paper next I think!
Can't quite believe the number of very poor applicants for this vacancy, had enormous interest from tentative enquiries regarding other contracts in this area, as the clients around that area feel badly served by the cleaning companies that already operate in that area, just cant figure this business at times!

Hi Robert,

In reply to your last post, our cleaners are mostly working Mum's and we have flexi working hours, therefore, most of our cleaners don't want to work in  the evenings when the kids are at home.  Yes we try and recruit from the job centre locally but we do not have a lot of luck.  Most of our work is between 07:00 - 16:00 hrs, even our office cleaning  and commercial cleaning staff.

Regards

Graham

You know its strange talking about willenhall and the Wolverhampton area, we also had the same problem filling a vacancy in the wolverhampton area some time ago, nice job , no loo,s, key job, nice people, but just couldn't fill it! :-\ i think it took around three months and then after the third person let me down by not turning up i passed the contract on.

Thanks for the replies, don't really know what else I can do, never come across this problem before, cant really hand the contract over as the client has 17 other locations that we clean for them!
