Can you include a personal loan in your expenditure? It's less than half the rate!

HMRC won't care.

The banks might...

Yes you can. The bank won’t pay a personal loan into a business account though, it has to be paid into a personal account. Also you would be better saying the loan is for a car or similar, if the bank know it is for a business purchase they will try to extract the higher business loan rate out of you.

As long as I can include it in expenses that's the main thing. Business loan is 9.3 v 5.9 personal from same bank but might be able to get it at 2.8 personal elsewhere.

Yes you can claim on the loan and the interest you pay on it. If this is for something work related (new van or similar) Do not tell your bank its for this purpose, as been said if its a large amount say its for a car or something and will have to be paid into a personal account although as a sole trader it wont make any difference to HMRC what type of account its paid into.
I did exactly this last year.

You should get a job in the bank Shrek!
Why is it when lift a few G's from the bank and they say "oh buying something nice"?

I’ve got a Sainsbury’s 0% credit card that I use for the extra protection when buying electrical goods and flights etc. The limit is £8k and it’s 0% for 31 months. Maybe an option.
