VAN GRAPHICS
« on: June 27, 2006, 01:54:11 pm »
Hello.
I'm picking up my new van this weekend...a Peugeot Partner ( very similar to the Berlingo ). What I'm after is some ideas for really eye catching graphics to put on the van.
In the past I've just used plain old vinyl lettering (pretty boring really )
Apparently, you can use pictures, photos, just about anything these days !

All your ideas/pictures will be most appreciated...you can post them to me on this site or email them to me at info@cleanteamnortheast.co.uk (check out my website at the same address and you'll see what I have at the moment )
I promise, I wont nick you're signage like for like...I just need some decent ideas.
Many thanks,

Terry

Hi Neil,
I also have a fiat doblo van lettered up in Red and black but now think i could add a little bit more to it like you have done.

Do you pick up a lot of extra work out side your area with the 0800 number and what methods of advertising do you find works for you !

I only ask this as im fairly new to the carpet cleaning business and based in the North west of england, im fairly busy but would like more work !! (would'nt we all)

lets hope everyone carries a pen & paper around with them to take down your number,  because after reading all that they won't remember your name ;) ;)

if we look at the psychology of why a customer chooses a certain company we will see that  trust plays a large part, and nothing creates trust like familiarity

so how do we create familiarity, by being seen & remembered.

keep your van simple but memorable.

then when they see it constantly around town and working in there street they will remember you, and then  when they need a carpet cleaner they will find you in the Y/Ps

Mike/Doug

Works for Me, Unsure myself about it at first when I had it done in Jan, I have pulled in a lot of work from this.

Lots of people come upto me when I am in a street because the Van is very noticable. I leave a leaflet box on the van telling people to help themselves.

If they take the number and Call there first coment is that I have seen your Van can you come and give me a quote. Who care's if they remember the name at this stage, the whole point is they call the number.

Company name does not get you business at this level. The Van is only one source of advertising and it does grab peoples attention.

Maybe a bit over the top but it grabs attention.

Cheers

Neil

Red carpet company, It's nice for you to show a picture of my old Genesis van but please do not post pictures of my clients houses without my permission, it can cause me all sorts of trouble.

Hi Dave, would have been here sooner but lost my email address! I changed to the style you saw at the last SDO but I'm not happy with it so I'm going to have it redone, more expense!.....
Kind Regards

Sorry to here that Dave, rather than jump the gun so to speak I thought i'd wait a while before i wrote up my van. Only problem with a plain van is you tend to look like the odd job man and folks expect you to price accordingly. There never seems to be a right way. :'(

Cheers Fintan,

I was concerned at first about having it on the Van but it works well with the Customers, seems to put them at ease and give them confidence in our services.

Cheers

Hi

Re: advertising, a new idea is Business Cards on the Move, this is a waterproof, all weatherproof clear box which sticks on the outside of your van which holds your business cards, so people passing can take a card no pen required, no number to remember, these can be removed when you want, car washing etc,  the lid clicks down so you wont lose the cards when driving,  website address is www.freewebs.com/businesscardsonthemove

kind regards
