I do believe that the ashbys booster box incorparates a 7" three stage motor!!

still cant see it justfing that price, if you make one up you twin mount 2 x 145mm 3 stage vacs, bet that a be more then!!

we have been using prochem machines for 21 years and have just started using an ashbys ninja with the booster motor attachment. so far it is an excellent machine ,we use it mostly as a van based machine running up to 100ft of hose with a 400psi pump. the booster definately makes a big difference over 50ft. the booster housing also acts as a silencer and incorporates a fan for cooling. yes it is expensive but it seems to earn its keep.

i am not sure what percentage increase there is, but using the booster with 50ft  of hose or over there seems to be little difference in vac power compared to twin vacs with 25ft of hose. what you basicly get is the capability to have an even vac power up to 100ft.

The efficiency of a POWER BOOSTER System all depends upon the design. This will determine how much it will add to your machine---and at the wand. It is very importnat to note that all these booster units --are not all the same---and therefore will vary in performance and real purpose.  I know this extremely well since I designed this system and concept in the early '70's and patented it in 1980.

Having seen it in action i agree with dirtbusters, gives you the same power your used to at 25-50 foot but you can use much longer hose lenghths. The main benifit of one of these is if your planning to leave the machine in the van or outside jobs.

if you want to add an extra vac motor make a false wastetank lid for your machine and fit a suction pipe on it, they add the extra suction there, no point pulling through the existing motors

Hi all,
This Vac booster was actually a suggestion from me, when discussing possibilities with Derek, every one seems to forget that these things have to be designed from the ground up, mouldings for the casing, testing for functionality, safety and compatability, they then have to submitted for CE approvals(kite marks) etc, then of course production costs, then they can arrive at a figure that will be affordable to most.

Yes you can buy a smaller machine, which will indeed serve your purpose and give you a back-up machine, but has everyone got the space for yet another machine. Everyone is quick to hit on a negative note on ideas and various types of equipment (which is easy to do), that said, there must be a market for these things, otherwise they wouldn't be out there for us to consider and or buy. We all have a choice in these things, so if you don't like it, don't buy it.

Incidently I know Derek invested a fair amount of money, time and effort into the booster box, as we do in our training, equipment choice and general practice, everything is ongoing so shouldn't we keep an open mind about these things. without choice we would all be running the same gear, how boring would that be.

I've had my say, keep getting it right folks, custys all-ways right until we prove otherwise

thats a fair point ralph, on reflextion what i said about price is maybe unfair,

regarding this booster, so it could be and may be better to attach it not onto exhust, but this type of lid, that way not pulling through vacs?

2 different things Len

# Kite mark. Products with the kite mark have their production methods inspected by BSI. A requirement is that their products are independently tested at regular intervals.

# CE marks. Some goods have to be marked with CE to show they pass all European standards. Examples are toys and electrical goods. CE Marking on a product is a manufacturer's declaration that the product complies with the essential requirements of the relevant European health, safety and environmental protection legislation.
