If it’s in a hard (crystallised) state it’s usually just hard graft involved with the appropriate brushes ( hard enough to start removing it but not hard enough to do damage to the surface) combined with either a Heavy Duty Acidic Cleaner or Miracle also do a Heavy Duty Cleaner that acts like an Acid but is actually an Acid Substitute.  A lot depends on what surface you are trying to remove it from. Just remember each time you do it you are removing a layer of the Efflorecence so patience is the key.  Essentially it is like trying to clean a Kettle full of scale in one go as opposed to an overnight soak ;D
