Hi,

Don’t know in which capacity you need a risk assessment, but if your selling:

Be very careful when entering your loft to find items to sell, get someone to foot the ladder, pass items down on a rope, be careful of low flying bats, some lofts can contain wasp nests.. if so wear a hat with a net curtain over it.

Make sure your pasting table is secure before you put sale items on it, if in doubt place a warning triangle at least 10 feet from your pitch, phone your insurer to check if your covered for car boot sales, as some don’t.

Most of all keep smiling if you don’t you wont make any money.

Hope this helps ;D

try the council h&s department. are you setting up a venue for a car boot sale?

can't help thinking tha 'they' have got us all jumping through hoops like wittless monkeys. every one panicking about getting sued by these no win no fee cretins that stalk the air waves when not chasing ambulances.

I would normally thank people for there help, but in your case NO, Just checked your activity on the site, Obviously not doing any business if all you can do is look for people to offend.

So pleased that we have members who are serious about the site. So thanks FOR NOT replying to any other questions I may have.

P.S would have replied direct but see you are too afraid to list your e mail address? I wonder why?

No John I'm not afraid ::), which email do you want? ive got about 20, but cause its you john here it is: johnwis99@aol.com  ;D , I wouldn’t read it anyway because I delete all spam :o.

Can I remind you that this is a cleaning forum, if your into car boot sales try a search on  a popular search engine such as Google, just enter car boot sales.

But I’m going to help you…. my advice to you john would be:

Each risk assessment is unique, as is each car boot sale, go on a course, read a book about it, ask a health and safety person for advice, get a sense of humour :D, but most of all please don’t try and have a dig at me for trying to shed some humour on this forum.

Kindest regards
