Joining IBCs

I’ve just connected a second one using 1/2 inch house on the outlets at the bottom but the tanks aren’t levelling quick enough. What do others use?

I used to have 4 connected.

You need 1 inch hose and the bigger fittings. Then the water levels fine
The best way to predict the future is to create it.

I use 2" hose - you can get adaptors with hosetail fittings that screw onto the thread - even when dumping water down from the top pair the 2 remain pretty level - but more importantly they stay equalised when using the sub pump to fill vans

Never argue with an idiot, they will only bring you down to their level, and beat you with experience

Yes, that was the problem. First tank emptied and second one wasn’t decanting quick enough . Meaning van 2 didn’t fill fully and van 3 has to fill on Monday. The IBCs weren’t full though so guessing with two full tanks it might be better?

One tank has done up to now as I’ve just filled mine around the two employees but now there’s a third guy and one tank doesn’t fill quick enough.
Do you have a link to the fittings?

I have two joined with 1" hose. There is a T joint between them that runs to my transfer pump.
It's a game of three halves!

I’ve used these guys a few times, great service

just tell them how many tanks you have and they will send you all you need

If you have several vans filling go for 2 inch hose

Go

I’m doing the same thing right now. Fun Saturday.
Can’t you just pump out of the one with the most in?

Could do that although as I use a submersible it isn’t ideal. I’ll see how it goes on Monday with 1/2 inch already in place (not expecting it to level quick enough) and if no good order other parts.

Go

Have you had to cut a hole for the pump? Is that stopping you dropping it in whichever ibc you need?
I’m looking getting a loncin pump.
Petrol powered, 30,000 litres/hr!!

There must be a 2” tank connector you can fix to a cap, allowing good flow.

Partly. But mainly it’s an untidy solution to be moving the pump.
