HI all, I have secured my first clean this weekend, an office area, totally empty, trashed carpet tiles, customer knows that they wont come up as new but has a budget and is willing to spend it either way!!! 

I only have a HWE machine, so was wondering which is the best course of action:

1: Pre-spray (Prochem Multi-Pro) then Extraction (With Prochem Fibre & Fabrice Rinse)

2: Extraction with Prochem Crystal Green

3: Any of your suggestions...... 

Obviously I want to make a good impression, so I'm looking for the best possible results (with the equipment I already have!) as it may lead onto bigger and better jobs...

wow, I spent all night back checking all the post's on this issues, and boy are there a few!! 

I see that many advocate the use of Texatherm or Fiberdri etc etc and this system looks good. I remember seeing it at the Prochem training day, unfortunatly I wont be able to get hold of one before this weekend as funds are rather tight.

Would I be correct in assuming that owing to the problem of bitumen backing, browning and the wicking of soil back to the surface it is best to thoroughly pre-vac, and then use Multi-Pro, then minimal extraction with Fiber and Fabric Rinse to avaoid the problem of overwetting the tiles? Does this sound right to you?

HWE extract the tiles like they are meant to be cleaned, simple!!!!!! Best, Dave.

What ever you do, don't use solution No2. I was given 5 ltrs for nothing by someone. Poured the lot down the toilet, to say it was terrible would be a total understatement.
Use Prochem multi pro and rinse out using either crystal green or double clean. TOP JOB!!

Sorry to drag up the same topic (which I know annoys alot of people!) but its my first 'proper' job and to be honest I don't wanna screw it up!

The only problem I can think of with the Multi-Pro and Crystal Green option is that they are both high in pH, will this be a problem do you think? Should I not extract with say Fiber & Fabric to neutralise the high pH of Multi-Pro?

If you fill in more of your profile you will get more replies!

I normally use trafficlean and crystal green or carpet tiles or microsplitters with good agitation. If you only have multi pro use that as a pre-spray and fibre and fabric to rinse.

In my opinion though using a microsplitter and agitating before rinsing with plain water saves time and chemical expense.

This is because some cleaners won't help other cleaners if they don't know where they're from. "Joe next door needs advice on starting a carpet cleaning business etc".

We're all in this to make money and the more of us in an ever decreasing market is bad news for existing businesses as you can appreciate. If you post a question then someone outside your area (or inside if you're lucky) will post a reply.

Trashed carpet tiles sounds like a reasonable start to business. Multi pro and fibre and fabric should do the trick. Just give the multi pro some dwell time (10 mins approx) before extracting. Any questions I'd be glad to help if I can : 07721 827163.
