there is no outside lock on the passenger side on a doblo, only drivers side and rear door
I’ve got the same van and the locks just started playing up...
Have to unlock the passenger door and reach across to unlock the drivers - what a faff!
Any ideas as to what’s gone wrong?
You haven't really provided enough detail about your issue. If I understand this right, your central locking isn't working on your drivers door and the key isn't working in the driver's door either. Very strange for 2 things to fail at the same time.
The key should unlock the drivers door mechanically even if the central locking isn't working (actuator has failed/connector come off, damaged supply cable).
If it doesn't, then I would start off at the drivers door, carefully remove the panel and plastic membrane and check that the actuator levers are in place from the key to the lock mechanism.
If the key goes into the lock but won't turn when it did before, then it could be rusted up. You may have to remove the lock from the van and soak it in rust remover or white vinegar over night. On a newish van that doesn't make sense to me unless the lock has broken. (If you have never used the lock, then there could always be the possibility that the lock was changed in a previous life (if you bought it second hand) and you didn't spot the issue when you bought the van. Try the duplicate key you have in the door and see if that works. )
If the central locking is working on all doors except the drivers door, then the first place of focus is the cables to the connector and the connector plug and socket at the door jam. In most vehicles they need to be aligned and then screwed together until the screw clicks locked. But the key in the lock should still unlock the door.
If the central locking isn't working at all then look for a blown fuse.
Baring that, its a visit to Fiat.
