Best to avoid at all costs to be honest.

Sometimes the only safe way to do this is by operating a 2 man team, one footing the ladders at the bottom.

There are devices out there to prevent ladder slipping, but I still don’t trust many of them.

I use an old bath towel on slippery surfaces. I check very carefully before climbing them to ensuring that the ladders won't slip. Works for me but I take no responsibility for anyone else doing the same!

1. No.

2. Don't risk it.

3. And if at all possible don't use ladders at all. When your legs don't work (or worse) because of a fall you'd kick yourself - if only you could.

The thing with ladders is that they can kill you. If you need to ask basic questions about using them, maybe you should avoid doing so.

I still carry ladders and use them, however I would always find another way if i can.

I worked with ladders for many years before wfp came along, and will always fight for the right to use them, but would always advise not to do so unless you are certain of what you are doing.

i use a rojack ladderstopper.sometimes ill put a heavy plant pot or rock behind it for extra safety but its very rare i use ladders now.
