im using a ford courier grippatank van at the moment.no heated drivers seat OR heated windscreen button!ive put a complaint in. .i had to scrape the windscreen this morning!

Hi Lee

On Limited Connects the perimeter lights come on each time a door is opened, you can switch them off by pulling the indicator stalk twice, this may solve your issue.

Unfortunately I don't think it will work.

I spoke to the company I rented from, guy there said it wouldn't turn off. I cant believe there isn't an independent switch on the cargo hold light.

My old jalopy van did.

Hi Daz. The courier van is space age to my old van.
And a really nice driving experience.

But not great for window cleaning.
I haven't got a roof rack😐

But it has less space in the back than my old escort.

I thought side door would be an advantage but to be honest it decreases the floor space.

Can't understand why they stopped making the ford escort van😁

Should be like the vw golf ongoing 😉

I used to always buy Fords but I've had an old style Vauxhall Combo van (2004)  for the last 3 years and it's been great.

ex-BT vans have the higher payload of 785kg, mine has the smaller 1.3cdti engine and it still pulls like a train with 350L of water in the back.

Also... no interior cargo light so I don't have any problems with switching it off

If I go the second hand route will look at transit connect, combo, berlingo, doblo

remove the light bulb and jobs done 

or remove the light totally and buy a nice small led light with its own switch then fit this where the old light was and use its wireing job done

If it's the limited model it'll be a few led lights so better pulling the fuse.

My cargo lights don’t turn off; I swapped the bulbs for LED’s and never had a problem in 18months, even on the days were the doors have been open all day as we haven’t needed to move the van.
Apparently they’re on a timer but I’ve never taken any notice of how long they stay on for.

One of my jobs over xmas (which wont happen as I tend to think with all the best intentions but get nothing done!!) is to fit a switch on them.
The lights only have spade connectors going into them, so a switch and a bit of wire so I can put the switch in a practical place should do it
