So glad I followed your lead and fitted the immersion.
Had to miss a bit of work lately and am grabbing a day tomorrow.
How long do you reckon it would take a 2kw to heat 350 litres up to around 60?
Had it on the other day for 7 hours and it only just got to 40. Colder start temperature.

Do you use all the water by the end of the day? If not this might give you a slightly higher starting temp?
From a cold start i would have mine on for over 12 hours to get it upto a descent temp,  but mine is a 500litre tank.

How long is the immersion heater? Mine is 27inch so it reaches quite far across my tank. But if 7 hours gives you a temp of 40, try leaving it on for an extra 2 hours and see what that gets you next time etc.

Or dry clean uses some type of heat in liquid calculator which you could google to give a general ideal of how many hours are needed.

Sorry its not any great advice,  i just kept leaving mine on for longer spells until i got the desired temp.
Also perhaps check your electric tarrif,   i found it was cheaper to switch onto a day n night tarrif as mine is 8p per kilowatt hour off peak

Thanks all, i’ve Got a 14’’ (I wish!)
I filled up and put it on when I got home for a few hours, nice and warm now, it will come on again at 1am so should be toasty for tomorrow.
Looked into tariffs a while ago.
Pretty standard at around 16p kWh.
So around £3/4 per tank.
With Southern Electric no cheaper night rate available, the deals save a bit on the standing charge but not on the KWh.
I had a few problems fitting the immersion, leaks etc until CIU gave the mechanical flange but boy I love it.

Do u guys use the whole 650ltr though? If not you might get different start temps after your first night.
I have a 500 litre tank but i probably have at least 200ltr or so left by end of the day and when i do, my start temp can be in 30's or 40's.
Ive not kept an eye on my batteries this week and I should have done a bench charge because by dinner it was down to 12.3 so i called it a day. Probably had about 350ltrs of water left and temp in 50's.  Only half day left to finish what i didnt do today and thats me done for wk. So im not topping tank up and not long turned the heating on, so will be lovely n hot tomorrow.

Just to let you guys know that I have a 27in 3KW fitted to a 500ltr
I have it on for 6 hours per night, I haven't yet done a exact temp reading but if I put my hand in the tank it's really hot, hot enough to have a cup of Tea with, even at the end of a cold day the water is still warm.
All I'm going to do for an upgrade is get a insulated tank to retain the heat all day
