Leaking from transfer pump
« on: November 03, 2017, 12:00:13 pm »
I've got this leak from where my mains driven transfer pump joins the transfer hose.

PIc below

Any ideas about how to stop the dripping?

take the pipe off, and then put round some PTFE tape re-fit pipe  and job done!

Couldn't you use a smooth-bore hose? I think you'll find that the "thread" on the inside of the hose can's get sufficiently tightly squeezed onto the spigot to make a perfect seal. Or if you can't do that maybe some silicone smeared inside the hose will fill up the threads and give a good seal.
