Floorboard lines on carpet..
« on: June 14, 2006, 03:53:26 pm »
Hi..

Visited client today where carpet had grey/black lines on it, appearingly coming from floorboard.. Not all over carpet but some parts. Look like draught marks, client thinks herself that its dust because the floor wasnt sealed properly. I tried multipro followed by fibre & fabric rinse but the lines didnt budge. Its pastel coloured wool carpet. Any ideas anyone?

Thanks in advance
Mike

ultrapac renovate

works well but needs some agitation, great product though, would be worth curing the problem first, prevention is always better than cure

You need to use either:

Prochem 'Filter out' or Prochem Ultrapac-renovate.  Sometines Solution UK's 'Eco-spotter' works too.

I had a customer only last week with really bad draught marking all around the perimiter of a 23x12 lounge/diner, plus two lines that ran right down the middle of the room.

She said to me,  ''oh, they won't come out, coz the last two times we've had the carpets cleaned, both CC's have said there's nothing they can do!!!

I didn't promise anything (even though I was pretty confident they'd come out)

Guess who's the hero now  ;) ;)

Excellent, I'll get that tomorrow and call her back! I was thinking ultrapac renovate might do it... I did tell her also that if it worked it'd be temporary, they'll need to sort out the floor underneath
Thanks
