I would buy it from a hydraulic hose company, what you need is single wire pressure washer hose, ( I buy blue non marking)

this is an example of 3/8 2 wire hose which is over kill for carpet cleaning but gives an idea of price.  single wire that is slightly thinner should be even cheaper..
