The picture is deceiving as the house isnt that big. But she asked for a price on cleaning fascia n soffits. Normally i charge between £30 - £50 per side but its an old dear whos always been a good customer and they are not that dirty so, quoted £45 for front and back (prob about 30mins of work).

My response  "well ill leave it with you to think about and let me know next time. But normally i would charge £45 nust for the fronts"

It's always the old dears though that sometimes want things done cheap.  Ive got a customer whos nice as pie but i told her it was £60 for her conny roof to be cleaned she thought i was ripping her off.  Now i do it every 6 months for £30....  Sometimes i cave in with the old ladies, feel bad charging normal prices.  As you say cant win though, offer discount and they still think your overpriced.... My customer wanted me to do conny roof for a tenner.....

you are doing well if you get 40-50 quid for one side.

im normally around 20 quid a side, so your "offer" seemed reasonable

whats a side 20 mins work?

having said that im not interested in extras at the minute so would probably have quoted your extortionate price and hope i didnt get it

Had 1 the other day I was cleaning a house the woman next door says can you just reach that high facia on my house it'll only take you 5-10 minutes to clean I said hang on I'll go and get my can you just pricing leaflet,she went in ever came back out.

i did one for a dear old customer last week.£50 f/s/g (front and back) plus £10 for windows.took me less than an hour.im happy with £60 for less than an hours work.

Thats true, although with FSG an hours work feel like 3 hours on the body.

it doesnt bother me as much these days(even though im nearly 46!).it must be the gym training.im getting a lot fitter thats for sure(and building muscle) plus i never fit any more than one add on job in a busy working day of normal maintenance window cleaning.
