So one more house left and thats me done for today, 20 houses.

So keeping in line with the thread, this afternoon has been dry. If i didnt work this morning it would be unlikely i would drag myself out in afternoon.
But how many did? Who got rained off and has now gone back out to work??

Nathan you old pro ;D

That looks lush. But I'd have to go home for a sleep after eating & drinking that.

Theres certain car drivers that make me laugh, the nervous not quite sure type of drivers but they have little patience but thats a good thing.
Theres a road near me which is quite narrow and everyone parks on the same side which is good. Theres just enough space to allow a flow of traffic in both directions but you always get the driver who waits and waits and waits. Wondering why no one lets him out!! Well everyone is local and have been down this route and knows the guy can do it and wonder why hes actually waiting. Then when hes had enough he pulls out and drives and then hes learnt!!! He can do it and so learns for next time😂   ;D ;D

Im sure you understand the waffle. People will get rained of for work and not attempt it because in their heads it cant/shouldn't be done etc etc. But if it rains for a week or longer they end up coming out because they have too. So whats the point in putting it of when you will at some point be out working in it  :P :P

I can't believe some of you softies won't work in the rain!!
I live in Wales and it rains here a LOT!!
unless its a gale force storm or snow, Im out working and the windows are cleaned just as well in the rain as in the dry. Infact, the wet windows clean much better as the dirt is already softened.

You lot must have a different kind of rain than me because I swear I can see marks all over my windows after the rain has been battering against them.

Depends how often you clean your own windows. My mrs is always moaning at me as i dont do them very often at all. But in true yorkshire style, i aint gonna pay for someone else to do them 😂😂

so do you work in the rain?it sounds like your talking yourself out of it.generally if you clean a window wfp and it chucks it down 2 mins later the window still dries clear.its when you trad a window with soap and a squeegee that you can get marks.

I work in light rain, my rule of thumb is that I don't work when the rain is hitting the windows. I'm not talking myself out of anything, I am just saying how it is in my area and from experience I can say that west facing windows in particular certainly don't dry clear when the rain is battering off them.......and it's nothing to do with my technique, more what the rain picks up in the atmosphere.

Agreed.
Its not just what's in the atmosphere its also what's on the walls of the property, in normal rain it will just run down the wall
and not touch the glass in rain with heavy winds it will run down the walls pick up any crap on those walls and get blown against the glass, its similar to why we don't clean the bottoms first.
My rule is if I don't think the glass will be clean at the end of the day I don't clean them, I cant be held responsible for anything
after that.

Well im out working today and its raining. Not overly heavy but straight down.
However its thundering quite loudly, thank fully ive not seen any lightning yet.
Gardiners slx poles are fibreglass covered at the base pole arent they??!!  As in i wont get fried as long as i make sure my leg aint behind it.
Ive heard a nasty account where lightning went down pole and earthed through a chaps leg that went up in flames
