I take the odd good day off and still don't fall behind so there's no way I'm working in storms, there are better and more pleasant ways to make a living than battling storms but I suppose if needs must.

i remember a few years ago where it rained nearly every day for all the 6 week summer holidays  due to britain being stuck with the low pressure storms due to the position of the jet stream.just got to get out there and work in it.

i dont need to work in the rain.i could just take the rest of the week off after today but id be 3 days behind which has a knock on effect on next weeks work then before i know it ill be a week behind schedule,losing money.then i also have scheduled time off for weekends away and holidays(weekend in aug stratford upon avon and a week in egypt in sept).

if its really bad i might have to work a saturday too for a change!

Unless im called away from work (ie wife not well) i'll be working in it, apart from the worst of it also.
Because im stubborn, i like to take the time off on my terms as in long weeknds rather than being forced to take a rainy day off.

its awful here at the moment.heavy rain and windy.no chance of working in this.however im not writing the day off.its forecast to clear up late morning/this afternoon so a good 5 hours work later on and itll be a successful day.luckily i have a few customers having building work done that are due this week so it lightens my workload a bit.

my round(all 350+ customers)are up to date but this particular run of work needs to be completed this week to keep me on track.

But i am working on the round which is 5 mins away from the tobys carvery so guess where im heading at 12 for a needed break n warm meal!! Before continuing

Well I was moaning about my round being messed up. Even more now. No way can I work in this. Just tried doing a house with a conny and its covered in bits and won't rinse off  the rain just keeps slapping more bits back on.

Another advantage of a tank full of hot water (regardless how somebody heats it, as thats not the intent of this post!)
Its a great radiator so for instance i have two hats, lol it keeps my waterproof hood on whilst allowing me to see.
But one hat (the peak of the hat gets soaked) will be drying whilst im wearing the other. Plus any cloths or eben the coat whilst im having lunch for instance.

i cant think of anything worse than going out and cleaning half a house and then coming home.a waste of time and diesel.(i have been there and done that on occasions though! )

im just about ready to leave in a min.its still raining and windy but by the time ive got to my first job ill just get cracking.if i work 11-30- 5pm(with 30 mins for lunch)ill still get 5 hours in which is good for a crappy day.

How can an insulated tank be a good radiator ?

I use silver bubble wrap which also gets lovely n warm.  Mybtds nust sits on top of my tank, turned it on to see what temp its got warmed upto just sitting there!

Same here, cleaned a few of my own windows this morning and they have just dried off filthy, rain has eased off but still fairly
windy so may call it a day.
