Ever since I got a univalve my pole hoses have expanded to the size of my 6mm hose on the reel,I know it because the pressure is built up to the univalve as apposed to having a tap on the end of reel hose,I don't want to go back to using a tap on the end of the reel hose but is there any pole hose that doesn't expand to pressure build up.
Its no more pressure than before unless you have increased it yourself? The water is stopping behind the valve the same as the tap, must be another reason. Heat causes expansion.

Whereas close the univalve and all the pressure builds up in the pole hose. I've just changed the yellow pole hose for Gardiner's green pu hose for this very reason.

It just needs to be uncoiled before you use it.
