Hi all, just thought I,d highlight this bunch of tossers for any newbies to the forum, 5 abusive phonecalls to my wife today (apparently they've given up on my mobile number) saying that I've listed on their website when I havent, I walked in the door just as the last call was taking place and listened to the little prat on the other end while he thought he was still talking to my wife,not nice, I've looked everywhere for a registered address for this bunch of muppets and cant find it, although I think I remember them being registered in Essex, if anyone knows of an address for them can they forward it to me (email on profile), either way if you havent heard of them before avoid them like the plague, they're proper scum, Andy

they still phone me every week without fail some of them are nice on the phone when you tell them to go away some are not think they are trying different ways to get me signed up wont work they say they keep rining me cause they need people in this area but ive looked at there website and i am mostly at the top of the listings when ive done a search for my area never had a single call from it though they said if i signed up i would.

I had the woman call yesterday they seem to call every few weeks, told her the same old thing im not interested and fed up of saying it. She apologised  and hung up.

when they call and say 'we've had 80 hits today looking for a carpet cleaner in.....( your home town)' say 'why should that interest me I live in .....( name a town 200mls away)'

this really screws them up they don't know what to say

This guy was basicaly abusive, shouting, swearing, and then started making sexual remarks thinking that she was still on the phone, I wont go into the rest, I think you've got the jist of it but its severely p**sed her off to say the least, Andy

I would suggest you contact the Police on this one as this type of behaviour is certainly unlawful.

I would also write to head office demanding an appology and compensation.

How do these or other companies find your phone number in the first place. Is it just that they monitor

 the advertising and so are effectively answering from a flyer or the like? Best, Dave.

they get it from the yellow pages, I had them call me and quote an address I had 4 yrs ago, this address is only in the Yellow pages.

also local news paper's ! 1 st places where custy's look for most services ! had a smug c*** phone me in the week had him a corker & he put the phone down which i didn't mind as at home & able to take it but pain in the a*** if on mobile & diverted.
who pay's into these people to keep them going must be a year or more since 1st call but if it's not them someone else trades were another !

I get all manner of calls from these types of companies, I just have fun with them winding them up and confusing them, I have told them my name is Chris Peduck, Wayne Kerr and other funny names, I even put my mobile in an empty washing machine so the only reponse he got was his own voice echoing around the drum. I also pretend the line is faulty whist giving details, they soon lose patience. Puts a smile on my face and the number of these calls seems to go down over time, I would like to see what notes they have made about my company on thier systems.

If they ring on my mobile I ask them to hang on a second and put into record mode.
Then I let them go on for a while, before telling them and threaten to report them to Trading standards and Telephone preference service. Usually stops them. Now got a nice collection of recordings.
