London hose pipe ban?
« on: June 09, 2006, 04:07:58 pm »
There has been a few posts on the fact that there is or might be a water

shortage and that the truck mount cleaners might have a problem..... I have a

huge job to do in London and accordingly got in touch with the Thames water

authority to see if it was ok for me to use a hose pipe for the machine. I was

surprised but pleased to find out that the ban does not pertain to industrial use

as is the use I need the hose pipe for. I need the pipe to feed obviously my

truck mount and another high pressure, pressure washer. Ifthats the case with

other authorities then carpet cleaning should continue as it has been doing.  I

made it quite clear with Thames I suggested I would be using maybe as much

as 150 to 200 gallons an hour, again this was ok. I dont think I will use this

much but wanted to cover my backside. Best, Dave.
