Candle wax..
« on: June 23, 2017, 10:31:44 pm »
Called at customer who had spilit candle wax in a jagged line appx 60cm on her 80/20 carpet. She had used iron and brown paper but you could still see a residue and some remainig wax in carpet. Having once had a bit of a mare using iron and brown paper and not finding hairdryer up to melting wax wondered if anyone had a perfect solution, apart from a new carpet! Simon

I have had success using the time element of the cleaning pie more,  so I apply gel in the morning, cover with plastic, cling film or other vapour barrier, then go and do my days work,  5-6 hours later it extracts out with a light water rinse really easily.
I clean carpets

white spirit will be a far better solvent for this than the citrus products ... try them side by side .    Heat , like a steamer or hot handtool with an inline could be used to soften it ( or even remove it fully ) ... but white spirit aggitated into the wax will turn it to an extractable mush in seconds  . repeat til gone  This should be a 10 min job really .

Get an old Black and Decker black steamer and a white cloth. Add steam and it goes on to the cloth................
Starts at the bottom likes it and stays there
