You hear it all the time I have had my van nicked but nearly 100% of these guys leave the keys in ignition. All it takes is someone to be walking past at the wrong time then boom your vans gone I have never once left my keys in my vans or cars even if I get out of van to make sure back doors are shut properly I always take them out .it's the thought of insurance not paying out that makes me do it

Surely before the couple of seconds it takes to stroll to the back of the van and check your back doors you could have a quick look at your surroundings and if there is no one in the vicinity there would be no need to remove the keys.
